Step into a world of colour!

Brightly opaque coloured hosiery...

If you try one trend this season, then it's got to be for brightly coloured tights. Sheer 15 denier tights as seen recently on supermodel Agyness Deyn, are hot off the catwalk at Ioannisdimitrousis and Richard Nicoll, or if you prefer more leg coverage, then bold, bright opaques are the perfect alternative spotted at Pucci, John Galliano, Jasper Conran, Moschino, and Sonia Rykiel.

Ioannis Dimitrousis, as a colour lover, wouldn't miss the chance to use Jonathan Aston's 15 Denier Sheer Tights... "...such a variety of colours that suited and flatter perfectly my A/W 08/09 collection."

Patterns to Turn Heads

Patterned tights are the height of fashion and anything goes!

D&G showed tartan tights, our most popular pattern right now and available in lots of great colour ways. Anna Sui, Chanel, Emma Cook, Paul Smith and Emporio Armani showed everything from little polka dots, to swirly patterns and leafy designs. Pretty embellishments like sequins were sewed on to knees and down calves at Betty Jackson and Bora Aksu. Levante wool tights are good to sew sequins onto, John Lewis has a superb selection.

Add a drop of burgundy!

Maroon and Burgundy are the new charcoal grey! Shown this season at Bottega Veneta and Caroline Charles. Chocolate brown also makes a comeback at Ben de Lisi, Biba, D&G, Celine and Paul Costelloe.

Net yourself a new look!

Fishnets and lacy tights were off the fashion radar last year, but this season they are huge. Givenchy, Rodarte, Baby Phat, D Squared and Emma Cook helped to mark their return to style.

Walk on the wild side with animal prints!

If you want to take walk on the wild side then try following in the footesteps of Just Cavalli, by wearing some fantastic animal print tights, chose from regular leopard print or new to us, big leopard print and snake skin patterns.

Opaques in muted shades...

A palette of teal, mustard, pumpkin, forest green, soft grey, aubergine and ochre are the staple fallen leaves colours that look sophisticated every autumn. Seen this year at Proenzer Schouler and Richard Nicoll.

Become a shining example!

Tights with a sheen are so sophisticated and fashionable right now. Celine, Baby Phat and Badgley Mischka showed tights with a high gloss finish. For special evenings out go for tights with a super glitter or lurex finish.

Wool tights in grey and chocolate brown...

Paul Costelloe and D&G marked chocolate brown’s return to the catwalk as a much loved alternative to black and last year’s fashion favourite anthracite grey. The staple colours of Autumn - soft dove grey and anthracite are still hugely popular showing at DKNY, Dolce & Gabbana and Paul Smith amongst many others. Tights were worn in a variety of ribbed, plain wool, cotton and opaque styles.

Sheer genius!

From nowhere sheer black tights have emerged as a key trend at Emporio Armani, Anna Sui, Oscar De La Renta, Chanel, Emma Cook, Lanvin and Giles. Why not try back seamed sheer black tights for instant glamour?
